TIMOTHY DANIEL GREEN

Timothy Daniel Green, age 67, died of cancer on March 16, 2020 in Belleview, FL. He was born on April 21, 1952 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

In his youth, he enjoyed photographing and exploring the world. He hitchhiked from Florida to California to “get his kicks on Route 66.” He continued to Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Venezuela. He stayed with a family in the mountains, living without running water or electricity and exploring on his motorcycle. He was fluent in Spanish and taught English to the locals. His published photography captured the beauty of his surroundings.

Throughout his life, he was a voracious reader and learner and knew a little bit of everything. He collected anything he found pretty or interesting to share with others, whether it was an unusual spoon or a handmade object from another country.

Always prepared and practical, he had every tool for any situation. Canned goods and water were fully stocked. If you wanted something done right, you had to “read the manual.” He stocked enough beef jerky and sharp cheese to feed a small militia.

He saw the world as a wonderful place to be fully explored and understood. To live life through his lens would be to always remain curious and see the beauty that’s often overlooked in our simple, everyday belongings and experiences.

He is survived by his sister, Johan Waggle, and his son, Stephen Green.

At Timothy’s request, his body has been donated to medical science. There will be no memorial service.
