Brant Wayne Brown

Brant Wayne Brown (43) died peacefully on May 13, 2020, at home in Belleview, Florida. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth Wayne Brown and Patricia (Patsy) Gail Callahan-Brown and his daughters, Taylor Faith Brown, Emily Grace Mathews-Brown and McKenzey Hope Brown.

Brant was born on July 31st, 1976, in Oxford, Ohio, moving to Florida as a young boy.  He attended Lake Weir High School.  He was a hard worker, loyal to his trade of well and pump repair service for over 20 years.

Brant’s favorite pastime was time spent in or on the water.  Alexander Springs was his go-to spot where he enjoyed snorkeling, floating and spending time with his children.  He also loved boating and fishing.  He was a dedicated Cincinnati Bengals and Florida State fan, wearing their colors and always passionate during their games.

Brant was a trustworthy friend – genuine, thoughtful and kind. He considered his mom to be his BFF – Best Friend Forever. Brant truly loved everyone around him and loved his family unconditionally, embracing being a dad to his three daughters, who were his sunshine.

Family and friends are invited to a candlelight celebration of Brant’s life which will take place June 6, 2020, at 2221 SE 150th Street Summerfield, FL 34491 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Covered dishes would be appreciated. Byron Jennings “Uncle Bud”

McClendon, Jr

Byron Jennings “Uncle Bud” McClendon, Jr., 89, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020.

  Uncle Bud was born in Belleview, FL to Byron Sr. and Verdi Mae McClendon and lived in Marion county all his life.  He was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean war.  He was a welder and fabricator by trade.

One of the finest men – loving, kind, always ready to help.  Our historian, he taught us so much about the area.  Always quick with a joke, he kept us all laughing.  He was loved and will be dearly missed by all.  Until we meet again …

He was preceded in death by his son Byron Clifford and daughter Misti Juel.  He is survived by his sister Eva Joyce Ledlow, and a slew of nieces and nephews.

Family celebrated Uncle Bud’s life on Saturday afternoon, May 30th at Lake Lillian.
