Jeffrey Lowell French

Jeffrey Lowell French, 61, of Belleview, Florida passed away December 9, 2020 at Ocala Health, Summerfield Emergency Department, Summerfield, Florida.

Jeff was born in Charleston, West Virginia a son of the late Theodore and Carolyn French. He was the owner/operator of an HVAC company serving the Marion County area. He enjoyed boating and fishing.

Jeffrey is survived by brother, Jon French and his wife Alice of Ocala, FL, sister, Jennifer French-Tracey and her husband Jay of Belleview, FL and brothers, Jeremy Todd French and his wife Milly of Huntsville, AL and Jerold Lee French and his wife Laurel of Ocala, FL. Jeff, lovingly referred to as “Uncle Buck” is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as the joy of his life, Debbie Bailey Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Carolyn French and brother, Joel David French.

The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 12:30 PM with a Celebration of life at VFW Post 8083, 12666 US-441, Belleview, FL 34420 directly following the funeral service. Michael L. “Mike” Tuman

Michael L. “Mike” Tuman, 70, of Belleview, Florida passed away on December 2, 2020 at Ocala Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was born June 8, 1950 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania to John and Esther(Monington) Tuman both of whom preceded him in death.

He moved with his family to Florida in 1958 and grew up in Belleview, graduating from Lake Weir High School. He served two years in the United States Navy and worked a number of jobs before becoming a certified credit counselor. He retired from Consumer Credit Counseling after twenty years and was well liked and respected by the hundreds of people he assisted with financial difficulties.

He was the past director of the Southeastern Honda CBX Motorcycle Club, where he organized rallies and other events. His passions were his motorcycles, his beloved Gators, vehicles in general and sharing his skill of shooting pool. He spent countless hours riding his bike through the Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee Mountains, recording most of his adventures with photos. He made friends everywhere he went his jovial, caring personality and generous spirit. Mike loved his big family devotedly.

He is survived by two brothers; Rick Tuman (Cathy) of Bostic, North Carolina and John Tuman (Nancy) of Belleview, sisters; Kathy Peavy (Allen), Marge Shipp (Bob) of Ocala and Janet Selby (Darwin) of Belleview, in addition to a large extended family and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family requests any memorial remembrances be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or any Veterans Organization.

Ida Lee Proctor

Ida Lee Proctor, 83, passed away November 24, 2020. She was born February 7, 1937 in Iron City, GA to the late Willie T. Williams and Jewell Barr Williams. She loved to fish and spent many summers in Key West and Steinhatchee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Sidney and Violet Proctor; son, Richard “Ricky” Proctor and brother Thomas J. Williams.

She is survived by her devoted husband for 67 years, Arthur G. “Mr. Art” Proctor; two sons, Guy E. Proctor, of Ocala and Arthur “Alan” Proctor and his wife Kathy, of Jonesboro, AK; goddaughter, Jenny Elisa Dias; two granddaughters, Darby Proctor and Caitlin Proctor, of Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Hali and Tristan. She loved her family very dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

She will be laid to rest in Pine Level Cemetery, Pedro, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.

PAUL BERT ANDERSON, Sr

Paul Bert Anderson, Sr., 74, Passed away on December 9, 2020 in Belleview,FL He was born November 10, 1946, in St. Charles, Illinois to Victor C. Anderson and Esther Lemon Anderson.

Paul was raised in Ocklawaha on Lake Weir and graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1964. After graduation he served in the Navy. In 1968 he was a City of Belleview Policeman.

Paul was a city of Belleview Commissioner from 1981-1993. He served as Mayor of Belleview from 1996-2002. Paul and his wife Jackie (Clapp) Anderson were the owner’s of Frank’s Fruit Shoppe until 2005. The fruit shoppe was originally started by Jackie’s parents (Frank & Ruby Clapp in 1952). After that he worked for Marion county school transportation for 6 years. Paul was a member of Ocklawaha Methodist church, the Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 284. Paul was a Dixie Youth baseball coach.

He is survived by his wife Jackie Clapp Anderson, daughter Melanie Clark (Tom) of Kennesaw, GA, son Paul “Andy” Anderson, Jr. (Roseanne) of Lady Lake, FL., sisters Sonja Pealer, Betty Greene and Unda Hunt, grandchildren, Hunter and Tyler Clark, Griffin, Madalyn & Kendall Anderson.

There will be a celebration of life service on January 9, 2021.
