PAUL BERT ANDERSON, Sr.
Paul Bert Anderson, Sr., 74, Passed away on December 9, 2020 in Belleview,FL He was born November 10, 1946, in St. Charles, Illinois to Victor C. Anderson and Esther Lemon Anderson.
Paul was raised in Ocklawaha on Lake Weir and graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1964. After graduation he served in the Navy. In 1968 he was a City of Belleview Policeman.
Paul was a city of Belleview Commissioner from 1981-1993. He served as Mayor of Belleview from 1996-2002. Paul and his wife Jackie (Clapp) Anderson were the owner’s of Frank’s Fruit Shoppe until 2005. The fruit shoppe was originally started by Jackie’s parents (Frank & Ruby Clapp in 1952). After that he worked for Marion county school transportation for 6 years. Paul was a member of Ocklawaha Methodist church, the Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 284. Paul was a Dixie Youth baseball coach.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Clapp Anderson, daughter Melanie Clark (Tom) of Kennesaw, GA, son Paul “Andy” Anderson, Jr. (Roseanne) of Lady Lake, FL., sisters Sonja Pealer, Betty Greene and Unda Hunt, grandchildren, Hunter and Tyler Clark, Griffin, Madalyn & Kendall Anderson.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE
There will be a celebration of life service on January 9, between 2 – 4 p.m. at the former Anderson residence, 5803 SE Robinson Road, Belleview. All friends and acquaintances are welcome to stop by.

Olmon P. (Pete) Taylor Jr.
Pete (OP) Taylor Jr., age 81, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Villages Hospital, in The Villages, Florida.
Pete was born as he always said, “at the end of the cotton patch in Thorn, Mississippi” on April 3, 1939 to Olmon P. Taylor Sr. and Flora Belle (Black) Taylor. His family moved to Belleview, FL when he was 3 years old.
Pete had 2 sisters, Dorothy (Donald) Bice and Mildred Jackson who both live in Quincy, FL. His 3 children, Gale (Taylor) Jones of Oxford, FL, Michael (Angela) Taylor of Oxford, FL and Wayne (Daisy) Taylor of Gainesville, FL. Grandchildren, Carlie, Kaitlyn and Earlie.
He married his best friend, his beloved wife, Nancy on May 20, 1978 making their home in Wildwood, FL. OP, as he was known in Belleview and Ocala, graduated from Ocala High School and then went to work for the now CSX railroad, where he worked mostly as a clerk in the office in Wildwood and retired after 50 plus years.
Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling all over the United States in their motorhome with his beloved wife Nancy. They enjoyed many trips to Mississippi to visit Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was honored by the Wildwood Beautification Committee for his beautiful yard and flower gardens which he worked on daily before his illnesses. When he wasn’t traveling, working in the yard taking care of his own equipment you could find him in his workshop creating Jesus Crosses to give to people who he thought deserved them. In the past couple of years, he made over 200 crosses that he gave away. He also enjoyed helping Nancy take care of her cats.
His memberships included Wildwood United Methodist Church, Leesburg Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Ocala and Bahia Shriners in Orlando, and the Leesburg Moose Lodge.
There will no Celebration of Life at this time due to Covid 19, but a possible memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2021. In lieu of flower please consider a donation to the Shriners Children Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Memories and condolence can be shared at www.bankspagetheus.com
