Marjorie Petit, 89, of Belleview, Florida passed away January 8, 2021 at Estelle’s Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. She was the wife of the late Ralph Eugene Petit who preceded her on August 6, 2011.
Marjorie was born in Lake City, SC a daughter of the late Hazel and Minni Wilson. She enjoyed bird watching and shopping on QVC.
Marjorie is survived by son, Eugene “Buddy” Petit of Miami, FL, Jennifer Kaczmarski of Macon, GA, Christine Sasso of Ocala, FL and Catherine Petit of Gaston,SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Alan Randolph Petit.
The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.
Carolyn Griggs Gregory
Carolyn Griggs went to be with the Lord on January 8, at Ocala Health & Rehab. She was born October 31, 1940 in Ocklawaha, FL to George (Bud) & Gracie Griggs.
Carolyn joined the Weirsdale Presbyterian Church in her early teens. Years later she married Richard (Dick) Yates and moved her letter to the Church of the Nazarene in Belleview. Donald Gregory was the father of her four children. She played the piano and used her beautiful voice singing in the choir. She loved to laugh as she often did. (Her laugh was very contagious). Her happy days and job was at the Bank of Belleview.
Carolyn loved her children dearly, they were her life. She is survived by her children, Tammy Gregory (Mike) Tim Gregory (Leigh Ann) grandchildren, Shlrttas Pomicter, Ryan, Dillan, Brook Gregory all of Belleview. Sister Laverne Griggs Scroggie, Belleview.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, son Bruce Gregory, daughter Michele Gregory.
Services for Carolyn will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
FREDA EARLINE FLOYD KROPF
Freda Earline Floyd Kropf passed away January 8, 2021 in Ogden, UT.
Earline was born in Booneville, MS on December 12, 1942 to W.O. and Eva Taylor Floyd. She was the third of seven children. The family moved to Belleview, FL in October 1943 where she lived until 1963.
She graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1962. She married James Kropf on August 17, 1963 in Logan, UT. She was the proud mother of six children. Three daughters Vickie, Rhonda and Sheri. Three sons Daniel, Josef and James, and 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, both parents, daughter Rhonda, and three brothers, Willie, Delacy and Henry Floyd. She is survived by her sister, Louise Deegan of Belleview, FL, brothers, Lafaun and Dale Floyd of Logan, UT and lots of nieces and nephews and cousins.
Earline was very talented in oil painting, sewing and crafts and enjoyed reading. She treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
She was fourth generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
There was a graveside service and burial with no viewing, which was her wishes on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Providence Cemetery in Providence, UT under the directions of White Pine Funeral Home in Logan, UT.
She will always be remembered as a very caring person and loved by many.
