TERRY “TJ” CHINN
Terry “TJ” Chinn of Ocala, Florida, 32, passed away on June 16, 2021 at 8:59 pm in Gainesville, Florida. TJ was born on June 1, 1989 in Ocala, Florida to the parents of Kathleen Smith and Terry Chin, Sr. He was survived by Kathleen Smith-mother and proudly raised by Ruben Trevino-poppy both of Summerfield; Ashley Pettis-sister and her husband Anthony Pettis of Summerfield, Rebecca Horsley-sister of Summerfield; Nereida Fortune-niece, Jayden Fortune-nephew, Jordyn Fortune-niece, Christian Horsely-nephew, Hunter Muller-nephew, Aubrey Pettis-niece and Blakelee Brooks-niece; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
His predecessors’ are James A. Smith-grandfather; Frances Tressler-grandmother; Walter Tressler-step grandfather; Frances “Sparky” Smith-step grandmother; Arvello Smith-great grandfather; Maggie Lee Smith-great grandmother; Rafaela Trevino-grandmother; Calvin Smith-great uncle, Johnny Smith-great uncle; Daniel Trevino-uncle; and cousins- Greg Smith, Mark Smith and Sarah Hoover.
To have known TJ was to have known an angel on earth, a guardian of secrets, a protector of loved ones and a friend to so many. Flowers in honor of TJ will be well received at the service.

DOROTHY McGUIRE
Dorothy McGuire, 94, of Belleview, FL, went to be with our Lord on June 18, 2021. She was born on Feb. 21, 1927 in Ashland, KY, to Ernest and Mabel Carroll.
She is survived by son, James D, McGuire and wife Jane of Cleveland, OH, daughter, Patty Stephens of Belleview, FL., grandson, Jack F. McGuire, of Cleveland, OH, grandson, James H.M. Stephens and husband Dustin Hart of Gainesville, FL., great granddaughter, Gianna N. McGuire of Cleveland, OH, great grandson, Cameron J. McGuire of Cleveland, OH; sister Betty Roberts of Ashland, KY. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 66 1/2 years, James H. McGuire, infant son Harold “Michael” McGuire; parents Ernest and Mabel Carroll; sister, Garnet “Jewell” Collins; brothers, Daniel C. Carroll, George L. Carroll, Wilford “Clayton” Carroll, Ernest T. Carroll.
Dorothy, was a wonderful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at age 12. She was a fervent prayer warrior. Harold always said, “her prayers touched heavens doors.” She loved to share her faith unabashedly and gave God praise for everything.
Services will be officiated by Father Donald Curran at Christ The King Anglican Church on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11 a.m.

Helen Joan Tracy
Helen Joan Tracy, 89, passed away June 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by loving family members.
Helen was born on February 19, 1932 in Gonzalez, Florida. She married Alfred “Al” Tracy in 1950 and they were married for 69 years. She lived the early part of her life in Florida, then moved to Connecticut and Massachusetts, and returned to Florida in 1967. Helen, with Al, raised 4 children and instilled in them a love of family, compassion for others, a sense of humor, and faith in God. They retired in Ocala with their brothers and sisters in neighboring homes.
Helen was a warm and caring person exemplified in her profession as an RN as well as through her role as a Pastor’s wife. She enjoyed spending time with family, going to the beach, sewing, needlepoint, gardening, birdwatching, cards, board games, and traveling. She will always be remembered for her love of butterflies.
She is survived by three siblings, Ginger Dispensa, Barbie Saley, and Jerry Joiner (Jeanne); four children, Sandy Hoyt (Colby), Diane Trifiletti, Pam Coughlin, and Alfred “Tra” Tracy (Kristine); twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was active in the United Methodist Church and is now in heaven with the love of her life, Al.
Services were held Wed. June 23 at 11:00am at Belleview UMC

Theresa “TERRY” James
Theresa James, 87, passed away at in Ocala Florida on June 9, 2021 with family by her side. She was born Theresa Delores Vella in Detroit in 1933, one of nine children of Giuseppe and Teresa Agius Vella (both deceased). She attended Douglas Houghton High School before joining the US Air Force during the Korean War, where she was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. She met her future husband Charles Dow “Chuck” James, Sr., while they both were serving at the Great Falls Air Force Base in Montana. They were married in October of 1953 in Detroit. She received an Honorable Discharge from the US Air Force in November of 1953, and for 20 years, traveled with Chuck to his various duty stations, including Alabama, Japan, and New Jersey. During that time, she and Chuck had six children, whom Terry, as the wife of an Air Force Master Sergeant, had the primary responsibility in raising during his numerous deployments, including to Vietnam.
She is survived by sons Charles D. (Deborah) James, Jr., Joseph R. James, Timothy L. (Deborah) James, Gregory R. (Stacey) James; daughter Patricia A. (Steve) Juntikka; daughter-in-law Barbara (Patrick) James, sister Delores Snider; brothers Paul (Jo) Vella, John (Susan) Vella; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck; son Patrick James; grandson John James; great grandson Dax Novielli; brothers Charles Vella, Tony (Margret) Vella, Joseph (Ann) Vella, Sam (Dorothy) Vella; sister Angie (Tom) Elvy; and her beloved dog Gabby.
Terry was a Christian and a patriotic American, but also proud of her Maltese heritage. She was a member of the VFW and the Red Hat Society. She loved playing bingo, and would amaze her family with the number of cards she would play simultaneously. Her kids and Grandkids have many fond memories of family vacations and holiday “get togethers”. Her version of the card game “Hand and Foot” will always be remembered as “Grandma’s Rules” by her family.
Terry will be interred with her late husband Chuck, and nearby her late son Patrick, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on July 9, 2021 at 11:00am. A celebration of Terry’s life will follow at 1:30pm at the Grand Oaks Resort, 3000 Marion County Road, Weirsdale, FL.
