DANNY BRIAN JONES

Danny Brian Jones, also known as “Big B”, 49 , of Summerfield, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala, Florida due to complications from Covid.  He was born March 25, 1972 in Gainesville,Florida , only child to Pat Jones. He attended Lake Weir schools. He worked  several jobs throughout his life, including painter, mover, and most recently self employed at lawn care.

He enjoyed the Ocala National Forest, riding and listening to K Country—he simply loved old country music. He loved hanging out with his friends.. sharing a drink and having a few laughs. Cooking on his beloved smoker was one of his favorite things to do, along with going to local lakes and Daytona Beach.

  Brian loved his family and friends…he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother Pat Jones, his soulmate Tonya Hays, Aunt BettyJo & Bill Reed, and cousins

Joanna,  Amy, Melanie, Rebecca, Joy, Jeremy, Travis, and Bryan..and their families. He is also survived by his fur baby “daughter” Dixie, whom he greatly loved. He leaves behind many great friends that he had made over the years.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Ruby Jones and George Jones, and uncle Gary Jones.

  A Celebration of Life honoring Brian will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021

William Ralph Mckinney, Jr.

William Ralph Mckinney, Jr., born May 18, 1957, died August 25, 2021 at his home in Moss Bluff, Florida of multiple health problems. Born in Macon, Georgia to parents, Ralph and Carolyn Mckinney, Bill spent his entire life in Moss Bluff. He worked in the citrus industry, first at the G&S Packing plant in Weirsdale, then at the Golden Gem Juice plant in Umatilla,, and finally at The Orange Shop in Citra.

Bill was a much-loved man by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his sister, Cathy Lewis of Moss Bluff, his brother, Jay McKinney of Belleview, his nephew, Paul Lewis (Tabatha) and his grandnieces, Savannah and Adrian Lewis of Ocala.

He will join his parents, Ralph and Carolyn McKnney, his sister, Patricia and his brother, Samuel McKinney who preceded him in death.

The service will be at the Moss Bluff Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and interment will follow at Moss Bluff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Moss Bluff Baptist Church where Bill was a member. Arrangements were entrusted to Hiers Baxley Funeral Services in Belleview.

Earl Alexander Peterman

Earl Alexander “Alex” Peterman, Jr., 65, of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away August 29, 2021, at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala, Florida.  He was the husband of Patricia Peterman for 31 years.

Alex was born in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Earl and Helen Peterman. He was a graduate of Stetson University with a degree in Business.  He was the owner of the Belleview Hardware Store, Belleview, FL.

Alex is survived by his wife, Patricia Peterman, his mother, Helen Peterman of Ft. Myers, FL, daughters, Sarah Peterman Schmidt and her husband, Gilchrist, of Birmingham, AL, Rebecca Hicks and her husband, Timothy, of Brooksville, FL, Joni Mulhall and her husband Timothy, of Summerfield, FL and son, Matthew Stanley of Inverness, FL.  He is also survived by sisters, Ann Harbaugh of Ocala, FL and Melissa Whitley of Ft. Myers, FL. He was the grandfather of Kayla, Nathan, Faith, Grace, and Hope. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Alexander Peterman.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 2255 SE 38th Street, Ocala, FL 34480 on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to Voice of the Martyrs at vom.org/donate.  Arrangements entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420.  Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.

Jeffery Paul Weekley

Jeffery Paul Weekley, 66, of Summerfield, Florida passed away August 27, 2021, at The Villages Regional Hospital, The Villages, Florida.  He was the husband of Barbara Weekley for 36 years.

Jeffery, the Son of Martha (Bea) Weekley and the late Charles Monroe Weekley, was born on February 4th, 1955, in Hollywood, FL.  Jeffery was a devoted husband, a loving father, and was loved by many.  Jeffery had many hobbies, some of his favorites including fishing, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and story-telling.  Jeffery could light up a room with his humor, would always get a smile out of you, and never met a stranger.  He was employed with R&W Sod of Groveland, FL.   He was also a Faithful member of Souls Harbor Church, Belleview, FL.

Jeffery is survived by his wife, Barbara Weekley and daughters, Jennifer Rawls of Ocala, FL, and Kacey Kane of Summerfield, FL and son, Jeffery R. Weekley of Summerfield, FL.  He was the proud grandfather of 10 and 1 great grandchild.  He is also survived by brothers, Allen Weekley and his wife, Rena of Summerfield, FL, Randy Weekley and his wife Debbie of Ocala, FL and Steve Weekley and his wife Candi of New Caney, TX.

The family will receive friends at Souls Harbor Church, 12650 SE Hwy 848, Belleview, FL, 34420 on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with the Funeral service at 1:00PM. Interment will be at Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford, FL.
