Vincent F. Masetta

Vincent F. Masetta, 89, of Belleview, Florida passed away December 1, 2021, at Chatham Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation, The Villages, Florida. He was the husband of Phyllis T. Masetta for 65 years.

Vincent was born in Rochester, New York a son of the late Andrew and Ida Masetta. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he worked for Kodak.  He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Phyllis Masetta and sons, Jeffrey Masetta of Belleview, FL, Brian (Jerriann) Masetta of Irvine, CA; sister, Jeanne Slade of Gates, NY; and grandchildren, Michael, Jillian, Timothy and Jackson.  He was predeceased by his parents; son, Mark Masetta; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:30 AM.  Arrangements entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.

Emily Lynn McDermott

Emily Lynn McDermott, 85, of Summerfield, Florida passed away November 9, 2021, at Harbor Chase of Lady Lake, Florida.

Emily was born in Newark, New Jersey a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Pedicine. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL. She was Past President of St. Theresa Guild and Orange Blossom Hills Ladies Association.  She was the first woman president of the Orange Blossom Hills Association.  She was also involved in the Knights of Columbiette -Sacred Heart Council 8012. She was also a Past President of the Deborah Heart Association Toms River Chapter.

Emily is survived by:Daughter Linda Gallo and husband Julio, daughter Shirley Bairan and husband Allen, son Larry Low and wife Debbie, son Anthony Low, son Ricky Low and wife Patti, son Kenny Low, daughter Emily Rose DiMarino, sister Dolores Dowd and husband Jack, as well as grandchildren Vanetta Bairan, Linda Marie Gallo, Aubrey Guattare and husband Dean, Kristy Gallo, Crystal Low, Ryan Low, Kadra Bairan, Allie Elwood and husband Brian, Maria Gallo, Kaylynn Low, Briana Low, Anthony DiMarino and Ashyer Low and six great-grandchildren, one niece, two nephews, one great-niece, and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her son Glenn Michael Low, husbands Joseph McDermott and Stephen Mudry, ex-husband Walter George Low, mother Rose Pedicine, father Anthony Pedicine and great-grandson Dalee Slack.

The family will receive friends at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM. JANET E. NORTHRUP

Janet E. Northrup of Summerfield, Florida, was born July 24, 1938 and passed away on November 24, 2021.

Janet was a long time resident of Rome, NY and moved to Florida in 2001. She was employed by the State of NY in the Prison System for 33 years.

She was a volunteer Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army for 57 years. She was also a volunteer for voters and a poll deputy in Florida.

She loved to go to Country Music concerts and reading all kinds of books.. She was also had a large collection of cook books.

She was preceded in death by her sister Maryellen of Venice, FL, her son William Northrup Jr., of NY, daughter Brenda Guy of Palatka, FL, grandson John Boe of Venice, FL, and brothers David and Phillip of NY.

She is survived by her daughter Teri (Theresa) Boe and her granddaughter Kimberly Boe of Venice, FL., her son Timothy M. Northrup and his partner Terri (Theresa) Hopkins of Summerfield.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews and the many friends she had made.

She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Until we meet again.
