KAREN E. GAZDA

Karen E. Gazda, 71, of Belleview, Florida passed away January 23, 2022, at Estelle’s Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. She was the wife of Robert L. Gazda for 33 years.

Karen was born in Alma, Michigan a daughter of the late Wilmont and Frances Langin. She and Robert were married on December 31, 1988, at Cedar Key, FL. Karen was the Chief Financial Officer of Baseline Tire Service, Belleview. She was a member of the Ocala Moose Lodge.  She loved sewing, boating, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her husband, Robert Leon Gazda and daughters, Michelle Zielecki of Belleview, FL and Denise Kaye Zielecki-Koons of Belleview, FL and brother, Billy Langin of PA. She cherished her grandchildren, Chelsea Kay Zielecki, Braydon Joseph Koons and Landon Cristian Koons.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Toni Kaye Langin.

GARY VANDOREN

Gary VanDoren, 79, passed away on February 22,2022 in The Villages FL. He was born in Adrian, Michigan on July 20, 1942 where he grew up on a farm. He joined the Navy in 1960. During his service he was an aviation mechanic in California and served on the USS Independence for a goodwill tour of the Mediterranean. He moved to Florida in 1987 and made it his home. He retired in 2006 from the Department of Corrections where he taught auto mechanics. He loved Nascar racing, horses, the ocean and sunshine. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, of 57 years, 2 sisters and 4 brothers, his children Carl (and his wife Sally) and Cora, and his 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was a great man with a heart of gold and will be missed by many.

JACK RUSSELL MILLARD

Jack Russell Millard, age 89, of Ponce De Leon, Florida, a retired commercial airlines instructor pilot, passed away surrounded by his family on February 20, 2022.

He was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada and immigrated to the United States where he joined the United States Air Force.  His military duties brought him to Florida for the first time in 1971, residing in Orlando and Fort Walton Beach.  He traveled the world until he returned to Florida in 1992, where he retired and remained until his death.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church (He was brought to the Lord by Pastor Rocky Culpepper of Grace Baptist Church) in Belleview, Florida.  He is a VFW Life Member, holding positions as Post 8083 Commander and District 22 Commander. He was also a life member of the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America and the Quiet Birdmen.

His service in the United States Air Force spanned 28 years, encompassing duties in both the Korean and Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his First Wife Carol, Son John, Daughter Debra, and Second Wife Dianne.  He is survived by his Sister Joanne, and his Sons; Arthur, Robert and William.  He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.  In lieu of flowers, it is Jacks wish that donations be made to the Central and North Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
