Helen Ann Hall (Mathers)
Helen Ann Hall (Mathers), 85, of East Lake Weir, Florida passed away June 10, 2022, at Chatham Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation, The Villages, Florida. She was the wife of Charles Walter Hall Jr. for 47 years.
Helen was born in Miami, Florida a daughter of the late Hueston and Helen Mathers. Prior to her retirement she worked as a manager for 25 years for the telephone company. She was a member of the Ocklawaha United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by her husband, Charles Walter Hall Jr. and daughters, Terri Bramlett of Summerfield, FL and son, Ronald & Cheryl Bishop of Dunnellon, FL and grandsons, William Bramlett IV and Shane Hollar and granddaughter: Kimberly Bishop. 3 great granddaughters, Peyton, Faith, Alyssa and a great grandson, Waylon, Austin and Amdyn. 4 stepchildren and 7 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kenny Bishop, sister, Joyce Felton and late husband, Harold Bishop.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, at 1:00 PM at the Ocklawaha Methodist Church. Friends may gather from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Candler Cemetery, Ocala, FL. Memorials in memory of Helen may be made to the church. JOHN JOSEPH QUATRANO
John quatrano at age 89 1/2 is now in the hands of our heavenly father May 6, 2022.
John was born and raised in Melrose Park, Ill., parents immigrated from Italy and married here, raised 3 children; Ralph, Antionette and John.
John and a number of careers from early youth, including, joining the Army at age 15. He went on to work doing sheet metal, became a Police Detective Sergeant in Northlake, IL; partnered with his buddy building up a fast food restaurant (The Winking Dog), a popular Italian beef and Vienna hot dog eatery.
John loved continuous education in police related studies. He earned may diplomas and acknowledgments, maintaining straight A’s throughout the many courses over the years.
John moved to south Florida in 1973 and continued his education at Broward Community College and Florida Atlantic University. He graduated from both with honors, resulting in Bachelor Degrees, majoring in Police Science with minor in social services. His education led him to more multiple careers working with juveniles/youth counseling, juvenille justice Dept; Probation & Parole, Beverage Agent (liquor licensing) in the Broward County area.
John moved to Belleview in 1980, working again with youth/juvenile Corrections. Later a teacher at Osceola and Ft. King Middle Schools, Alternative Education, helping students with scholastic improvement, life skills and appropriate behaviors. Many students later approached him (Hey Mr. Q, remember me) to thank him for turning their life around.
John’s social activity and passion was body building/workout (To Your Health Spa) and was fondly called the “Jack Lalanne” of Belleview. His daily jokes sparked laughter and united friendships that will be missed.
Survivors: daughter Cynthia, son, Dante (Carol); granddaughter Lelani (Mike); grandsons Conner (Bridget) and Deacon; deceased sister’s children Tim and Debra; his deceased brother’s children, Jerry, Keith, Sandy, Robin and Ralph Jr.
There will be a private luncheon in John’s honor in near future.
