Large Sinkhole Opens At Planned Belleview Community

A large sinkhole, approximately 30 feet in diameter, opened earlier this week in a retention pond of the planned Bennah Oaks community. Bennah Oaks is located off of CR 484, between SE 127th Place and the Belleview Public Library.

Once completed, over 400 single-family homes are planned to sit atop the 107-acre community. The sinkhole formed in the retention pond nearest CR 484 after several days of heavy rainfall.
