On 7/7/2023, at 5100 Blk SE Abshier Blvd, Cpl. Freeman observed a silver Chevrolet SUV improperly change lanes and cut off another vehicle before making a turn into a business. Cpl. Freeman conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver (later identified as Janica Jones, DOB 4/18/1986) about why he stopped her. Cpl. Freeman requested Jones’ information and she refused, demanding to speak with his sergeant. This continued, so Jones was detained. After some discussion about possibly receiving additional charges, Jones relented and provided her information. Cpl. Freeman discovered multiple active suspensions on her license. Cpl. Freeman issued Jones a criminal citation and released her from custody. Case closed by arrest.

On 7/7/2023, at 5741 SE Abshier Blvd (Hardee’s), The victim reported that her boyfriend, Rolando Romero Cruz, DOB 10/08/1993, had pushed her during an argument. Ofc. Galler reviewed the business’ surveillance footage and established probable cause. Romero Cruz was located nearby and was placed under arrest. Ofc. Galler transported Romero Cruz to the Marion County Jail without incident. Case closed by arrest.

On 7/7/2023, at 6863 SE 111th Ln (Autumn Glen), an unidentified shirtless white male driving a beige SUV stopped in front of the location and asked two juveniles to come towards his vehicle. One juvenile approached the vehicle and the subject handed the juvenile $10 and then quickly left the scene when a neighbor approached the vehicle.
