Firefighters battle Silver Springs blaze
At 9:07pm on Wednesday, July 12, MCFR units were dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire located at 2677 NE 147th Terrace, Silver Springs, FL. The 911 caller reported the house next door was on fire, most all of the mobile home was burned.
MCFR Engine #4 arrived on scene at 9:13pm to find the mobile home, 100% involved in flames. The Engine LT established command and directed firefighters to deploy multiple hose lines to in a defensive attack. Additional suppression units from Anthony Station #1 and Rolling Greens Station #28 arrived on scene and assisted crews from Engine #4. The primary and secondary search of the structure were complete with no findings.
The fire was called under control at 9:30pm. No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters. The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation.
