Sheriff Needs Help Identifying Burglary Suspects

On July 10, 2023, Deputy Calvin Palmateer responded to multiple vehicle burglaries in the 14900 block of NE 110th Court Road, in Fort McCoy. He discovered that seven unlocked vehicles in the area were entered, and purses, wallets, a smartwatch, jewelry, and debit cards were stolen.

Property Crimes Detective Calvin Pope continued to investigate and learned that someone used two of the stolen debit cards multiple times. The owner of the cards advised that she noticed unauthorized activity on the stolen cards only a few hours after the burglaries occurred.

Through his investigation, Detective Pope determined that the stolen cards were used at Kwik King (9520 NE Jacksonville Road) for $36.50 and at Diamond Oil (6980 NE Jacksonville Road) for $114.03. Two transactions for $192.36 were also attempted at Dollar General (6905 NE Jacksonville Road), but they were declined because the victim contacted her bank to deactivate the cards.

Detective Pope responded to the businesses to review surveillance footage. In doing so, he obtained these photos of the two individuals who used the victim’s cards and the vehicle they were driving. Now, we are asking for your help to identify them. If you have any information that could assist with this investigation, please call 352-732-9111.
