I-75 slowed due to vehicle fire

On Saturday, July 29, traffic slowed on I75 Southbound near Mile Marker 346 due to a vehicle fire. The 911 caller stated he smelled gas, lost power and eased to the right shoulder of the road. The vehicle then caught fire.

MCFR was dispatched to the location at 2:32pm and arrived on scene at 2:46pm. Firefighters on Ladder 3 quickly deployed a hose line and began to extinguish the blaze. They quickly brought the fire under control.

Traffic on I75 is now free of obstruction. No injuries reported to firefighters or civilians.
