Firefighters battle Ocala structure fire

On August 1, at 11:49am, MCFR and OFR units were dispatched to 750 SE 28th St, Ocala, reference a residential structure fire. The 911 caller reported there was a fire near the back of the house. One lady and a dog had made their way out of the home.

Rescue 16 was the first unit to arrive on scene. They reported heavy fire from the rear and went into immediate rescue mode. Ocala Engine 7 arrived on scene and reported fire through the roof on the Charlie delta side of the structure.

Firefighters went into offensive mode battling the blaze. The fire was called under control at 12:05pm. No injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation.
