Morning crash blocks Ocala traffic

All Eastbound lanes of NW Blitchton Road (near the 3400 block) were temporarily blocked this morning after a vehicle accident resulted in a broken power pole and downed power lines.

The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. Ocala Fire Rescue and Ocala Electric Utility responded.

One person was transported to the hospital for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.
