Belleview High’s Eric McLaughlin Signs With CCBC In Cantonsville, MD

Congratulations to Eric McLaughlin, 19 of Belleview High School, who recently accepted a Baseball scholarship at the Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville, MD. Eric, who plays outfield, was surrounded by his family, coaches and friends as he celebrated his accomplishment in the Media Center at 5:00 PM at Belleview High School, at 10400 SE 36TH Ave, in Belleview on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Eric’s proud parents, Darren and Danielle McLaughlin, surrounded their son and his father spoke of Eric’s selflessness, hard work and dedication. Eric’s mother, emotionally stated “I will miss my chunk a munk”. Eric is one of four McLaughlin children, which include, Chandler, Zachary and Jordan. The McLaughlin family are lifetime Belleview residents.

Belleview High School’s Baseball coach, Coach Jared Moseley and Belleview High School’s Athletic Director, Coach Phillip Small, spoke of Eric’s athletic abilities, his hard work, adding, “he’s an all around great kid”. They explained that Eric excelled in not just Baseball, but Football and Wrestling as well, all four years at Belleview High.

McLaughlin and his team went on to win the 2022 and 2023 American Legion State Championships and BHS took the 2023 District Champs, with McLaughlin in the outfield. Go Cardinals!
