Firefighters rescue Belleview racoon with head stuck in jar

On Tuesday, August 24 at 2:44pm, MCFR units were dispatched to SRM Concrete, 10550 SE 58th Ave, Belleview, for reports of a racoon with a jar on his head, stuck in the tree.

Battalion Chief 3, Engine 30 and Tower 2 responded to the scene. Firefighters on Tower 2 affected the rescue in the platform. The racoon was extricated from the jar, placed in a safe carrier and turned over to Animal Control. Firefighters are pleased to say that he didn’t suffer any major injuries.
