Belleview Police Report: 08/31/23

Arrests & Incidents

On 08/25/23 at approximately 0553, at 4465 SE 106th st, a white male was placed under a Marchman Act due to injecting narcotics, being incoherent, and his judgment being impaired. MCFR transported the white male to Advent for treatment.

On 8/25/2023 a white male was placed under a Baker Act at 6333 SE Babb Road. The male had stabbed himself with a 9” screwdriver and was threatening to harm staff at the location. Upon law enforcement’s arrival to the location he was ordered several times to drop the screwdriver, with negative results. Officer Eaglen deployed his agency issued taser to gain compliance. Marion County Fire Rescue transported the male to Advent Health.

On 08/26/23 at 9:02 am, at 9777 SE 41st Court, a Hispanic Male, approximately 30-45 years of age, 5’-09”, wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and a ballcap, entered into the victim, Larry C. Quartararo III (w/m, 05/18/80) opened garage door and stole a black canvas tool bag (value $200.00) containing approximately $2,000.00 worth of tools.

On 08/26/23 at approximately 1:07 pm, at 4441 SE 102nd Place (vacant property), Brian D. Baker (w/m, 01/16/84), and Jessica L. Rolph (white female, DOB 12/30/92) were issued a trespass warning/barring notice authorized by an open trespass.

On 08/26/23 at approximately 2:50 pm, at the Belleview Regional Plaza (10300 block us hwy 441), Richard E. Kurdt (w/m, 09/16/69) was issued a trespass warning/barring notice authorized by an open trespass.

On 8/26/2023 at approximately 1625 hours, Oscar A. Garcia (hispanic male, DOB 7/20/85) was placed under arrest for a bench warrant  subsequent  to a traffic stop at the 11600 blk us hwy 441, Belleview.

On 08/26/23 at approximately 2:43 pm, while at the  belleview regional plaza, Richard E. Kurdt (white male, DOB 09/16/69) was issued a trespass warning/barring notice from the cs car wash located at 5201 SE Abshier Blvd authorized by an open trespass.

Preliminary investigation revealed that on 8/26/2023 at approximately 2210 hours, an unknown h/m allegedly committed battery against a juvenile male at the 6000 blk SE Arthur Road, Bellevew.

On 08/27/23 at approximately 8:30 am, at 11761 US Hwy 441 (Mr. Mochas Pet Supplies) the $6.00 US currency ($5.00 Bill, $1.00 Bill) was placed into evidence.

On 08/27/2023 at approximately 9:22 am an unknown male did commit the offenses of uttering a forged bill at 5726 SE Abshier Blvd, Belleview, by handing a $50.00 USD bill and two $20.00 USD bills to the cashier at Wawa.

On 08/27/23 at approximately 11:35 am at 6005 SE Robinson Road, a white male juvenile was placed under a Baker Act for suicidal ideations and cutting himself repeatedly with a razor blade on his chest, abdomen, and leg areas. The white male juvenile was transported to advent health under a baker act.

On 08/23/2023, at 5622 SE 109th Pl, Pfc. Hunt made contact with the victim of a possible fraud at the request of FDLE. Interpol contacted FDLE at the request of the United Kingdom due to a suspect possibly living in their jurisdiction that had committed fraud.

On 08/23/2023, at 6961 SE 104th st, Christopher Woodward was arrested for simple battery domestic.

On 08/24/2023, at Wawa, 5726 SE Abshier Blvd, Eric Strofe was issued a trespass warning by management.

On 08/24/2023, Silver Oaks Campground 10366 S Us Hwy 441 Lot 44, Chad Martin was issued a trespass warning by the property manager.

On 08/25/2023 at approximately between the times of 09:00 am and 09:30 am at 3984 SE 98th Pl Belleview, an unknown suspect did commit the offense of Petit Theft by stealing a black heavy duty hitch off of a truck belonging to victim Kevin A. Hinzman (white male, 10/15/73).

Corporal Bowman and Deputy Rios responded to a home in the 7600 block of SE 135th Street in reference to someone sleeping in a vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, Michael McGee, who was parked in the backyard and it was determined that he did not live there. McGee admitted to drinking five beers and half of a bottle of vodka, and he showed signs of impairment. He refused to perform Field Sobriety Exercises and was arrested for DUI. At the jail, McGee refused to provide a breath sample.

Deputies responded to the 14900 block of SW 47th Court in an attempt to locate Edgar Humphrey who had warrants for Armed Robbery and Violation of Probation. They located Humphrey nearby and upon making contact, he fled into a wooded area. After a short foot pursuit, he was apprehended. Humphrey was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and given a ride to jail.

Corporal Rosaci responded to Public Self Storage in the 15700 block of S Highway 441 in reference to a burglary. His investigation revealed that someone entered the property and cut the locks off of four storage units. Miscellaneous tools were stolen with a total loss of around $800. This investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Salgado responded to Dollar General in the 800 block of Marion Oaks Manor with a Probation and Parole officer to locate Jave’on Walters. A notification was received that Walters cut off his court-ordered electronic monitoring device. Walters agreed to meet at the Dollar General, where he was arrested without incident. He was transported to jail and his probation was also violated.

Deputy Cantrell stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 11000 block of SW 150th Street. Upon contact with the driver, Adrianna Clements, it was discovered that she did not have a valid license. She was arrested and taken to jail, where booking deputies located marijuana in her belly button. Clements was additionally charged for Introduction of Contraband.
