Poker Run to benefit Cody Grissom goes all in

A Poker Run, to benefit Cody Grissom, 27, a life long resident of south Marion County, who was diagnosed in June of this year with Stage 4 Colon cancer, was held recently.
Cody is a young father and husband. Cody’s wife, Kaytlyn, 26, and 8 month old daughter Reagan are a constant reminder of just what Cody is fighting for. Cody, Kaytlyn and Reagan are not in this alone, they have extended family and friends that have went all in with them.
The Poker Run started at Pirats Oasis Bar and Grill at 19240 SE Hwy 42 in Weirsdale. Kickstands up at 10:40 AM, and the group of motorcycles and other vehicles headed to the next stops, getting a card to add to their poker hand at each stop. First they stopped at Crossroads 44 in Eustis, then off to Drifters Riverfront Bar and Grill in Astor, next Fire Rock Irish Pub in Silver Springs, then on to the Forest Moose in Ocklawaha . At the final stop, Krazy 8’s Bar and Grill in Umatilla, they offered dinner with all proceeds benefiting Cody.
Local businesses, family and friends donated raffle items, and volunteered to assure Cody and his young family are helped in their time of need.
Going All-In To Beat Cancer

Kicking Cancer’s Butt At The Grissom Poker Run

Bikes Line Up For The Cody Grissom Poker Run
The bikes started lining up early for the Cody Grissom Poker Run at Pirats Oasis at 19240 SE Hwy 42 in Weirsdale, to benefit Cody’s fight with Stage 4 Colon Cancer at the young age of 27. The Poker Run had five additional stops, ending at Krazy 8’s Bar and Grill in Umatilla.
