Letter to the editor: The truth is out there

In a press release last week, “Attorney General Ken Paxton Sues Pfizer for Misrepresenting COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy and Conspiring to Censor Public Discourse.” Paxton is the AG for the state of Texas who has been investigating “gain-of-function research and misrepresentations by Covid-19 vaccine manufactures” since May of this year.

One of the charges in the release said, “In fact, Pfizer’s product failed to live up to the company’s representations. COVID-19 cases increased after widespread vaccine administration, and some areas saw a greater percentage of deaths from COVID-19 among the vaccinated population than the unvaccinated.” Did you see that? A greater percentage of deaths from COVID-19 “among the vaccinated population than the unvaccinated”?

Please note the charges are not only about the efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine, but also the coverup by the manufacturers themselves in concert with the federal government and media. “You mean they all LIED to us?,” you might ask. Yeah, that’s pretty much what the charges are saying. Stay tuned for Pfizer’s defense.

By the way, this news has not broken in mainstream media or social media, but it will, and it will be very interesting to see how the media spin this investigation without admitting the roles they played in covering up the sad news about the vaccines.

The first two sentences of Texas’ Petition against Pfizer were, “The COVID-19 vaccines are the miracle that wasn’t. At the end of 2020, Defendant Pfizer, Inc. … broadcast to the world that its COVID-19 vaccine was ’95% effective.’”” Follow the science, right?

The Petition continued, “Moreover, according to Pfizer’s own data, preventing one COVID-19 case required vaccinating 119. That was the simple truth. But Pfizer’s fusillade of public representations bore no resemblance to reality.”

If the public can’t trust the manufacturer of an experimental vaccine, and can’t trust the regulatory agencies to oversee the data and results, and can’t trust the media that censors information the manufacturer doesn’t like, and government declares a health emergency to mandate unconstitutional restrictions of constitutionally protected freedoms, who can we trust?

The Introduction to the Petition ends with, “In summary, Pfizer intentionally misrepresented the efficacy of its COVID-19 vaccine and censored persons who threatened to disseminate the truth in order to facilitate fast adoption of the product and expand its commercial opportunity. In light of the multi-billion dollar bet that Pfizer made on the vaccine and its need to quickly establish the product as the marketing leader, Pfizer was heavily incentivized to, and in fact did, make misrepresentations intended to confuse and mislead the public in order to achieve widespread adoption of its vaccine.”

In other words, money always trumps science. Don’t follow the science until you find out who’s paying for it or profiting from it. COVD-19 was politicized from the beginning. Claims of disinformation and misinformation justified censoring opinions that violated “community standards” wherever they came from.

We’ll see from this lawsuit who did what when and how much damage was done due to deceitful words masquerading as truth. As investigators continue to uncover evidence of faulty science and censorship, we’ll also grieve the pain of those who suffered as well as the losses of family and friends. And, maybe we’ll ask more questions next time. As they say, the truth is out there.
