The Twilight Cruisers 23rd Annual Toys for Kids Cruise-In Brings Out The Hot Rods

The 23rd Annual Toys for Kids Cruise- In was held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing at 13700 SW 16th Ave in Ocala. The event started at 8:00 AM and continued throughout the day.

The annual Cruise-In, cost $15.00 to pre register, $20.00 the day of show, or a toy of equal value.

This year’s trophies included: People’s Choice, 10 Judged Trophies, Best of Show, and Don Garlits Choice.

Giveaway prizes included: Dash Plagues, Ladies Gift Bag, Giant Christmas Stocking. There was also a 50/50 Raffle with the winner taking home?

Special appearances by the Ghostbusters car, Hotwheels Corvette, Lightning McQueen, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office helicopter.

This year’s sponsors are: National Parts Depot, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Abshier Insurance Agency, L-Tech Pool & Spa, Pasta Faire, Sleep Centers, and John & Beth Merkert.

This event benefits Interfaith Ministries & Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. Thanks to all for helping the Twilight Cruisers make Christmas better for local Marion County kids.

Patriot’s Pride – A Beautiful Tribute

Patriot’s Pride, a tribute to our heroes was at the Twilight Cruisers 23rd Annual Toys for Kids Cruise-In at Don Garlits Museum Of Drag Racing recently. Each part of Patriot’s Pride honors our Nations heroes, the hood is dedicated to the Twin Towers in NYC and the Blue Angels, inscribed with “Let Us Never Forget”. They owner and designer of the car is W.B. “Doc” Freer who was a combat medic in Vietnam. Pictured above, CPL Dustin McIntyre with the MCSO is pictured with Patriot’s Pride.

Unique Find At The Toys For Kids Cruise In

You can’t help checking out this unique vehicle, it’s a 1956 Ford Cab Over Custom C600 at the Toys for Kids Cruise-In. New owner of Gregg Smith Automotive, Alex Otero, is the lucky owner of this rig that is complete with a tow truck and camper.

Flags Flying High And Proud

Our Nations Flags were flying at the Twilight Cruisers 23rd Annual Toys for Kids Cruise-In. There is nothing more American than our Nations Flag and a 1963 Chevy Nova, owned by Randy Rouse.
