On 12/18/2023, at 6006 SE Abshier Blvd (Belleview ER) – Belleview officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s deputies in the arrest of Daniel King for the offense of domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and tampering a victim/depriving the use of 911.

On 12/18/2023, at 5428 SE Abshier Blvd (Belleview Pizza) – An unidentified suspect committed Uttering Counterfeit Bill and Petit Theft by using three counterfeit $50 bills to purchase a pizza and receiving $123.78 in change.

On 12/18/2023, at 12180 S Us Hwy 441 (Mi Pueblo Flea Market) – A male known as Carlos allegedly committed aggravated assault with a firearm against victim by displaying a firearm, charging it, and asking if she was afraid, which put her in fear. Case pending active.

On 12/19/2023, at 6331 SE Arthur Rd – A citizen located a Cardio fax machine and turned it over to the Belleview Police Department.

On 12/19/2023, at SE Oak Rd/SE Babb Rd, Cpl. Harrington conducted a traffic stop on a blue Nissan sedan after a records check showed the registration was expired and the registered owner’s license was suspended. Cpl. Harrington issued the driver, Edward Smyth, DOB 6/3/1948, a civil citation for driving while license suspended and instructed him multiple times not to drive or he would be arrested. Cpl. Harrington parked close by as he finished his paperwork for the incident and, shortly thereafter, observed Smyth driving again. Cpl. Harrington conducted a second traffic stop, placed Smyth under arrest, and transported him to the Marion County Jail.

On 12/19/2023, at 11310 S Us Hwy 301 (Winn Dixie) – Luther Hunter, DOB 8/1/1968, committed simple assault on corrections officer against victim, an off-duty corrections officer in full uniform, by threatening to inflict harm and aggressively approaching her, putting her in fear that he would carry out the threats. Case pending active.

On 12/20/2023, at 6500 Se 107th St (Belleview Sportsplex) – Jaaden Townsend, DOB 3/5/2002, was issued a notice to appear for possession of marijuana, less than 20 grams subsequent to a suspicious vehicle investigation. Case closed by arrest.

Investigation revealed that on approximately 12/13/23 at an unknown time, at Florida Credit Union located at 10303 US Hwy 441, an unknown person(s) used the victim’s identity to open a personal line of credit ($4,300.00) Under the victim’s Florida Credit Union account.

Preliminary investigation reveals that between 1900 hours on 12/20/2023 and 0930 hours on 12/21/2023 unknown person(s) egged the victims vehicle, a 2011 Hyundai 5 door, while it was parked in the driveway of the residence located at 6720 SE 108th Street.

On 12/20/2023 at approximately 15:31 hours a black male (unknown name or date of birth) was issued a trespass warning authorized by an open trespass. The subject is only known as “Bama” and refused to I.D. Himself.
