In a daring incident on January 10, 2024, a trio of individuals, dubbed the “razor bandits,” executed a swift heist at Publix located at 2655 NE 35th Street. The perpetrators opted for a unique approach to retail therapy, bypassing the conventional checkout lanes and deciding to stuff their jackets with an impressive haul of razors and deodorant, accumulating a value exceeding $800.
Contrary to the standard practice of paying at the register, these audacious thieves transformed their jackets into makeshift shopping bags, showcasing a distinct and rather unconventional fashion sense. Now, the community is being called upon to aid in bringing these hygiene hijackers to justice.
Law enforcement is seeking the cooperation of citizens who may possess information about the identities of these culprits. If you have any relevant details, please contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at (352) 732-9111.
