Marion County detective makes child pornography arrest, calls findings ‘most egregious he has encountered’

On Friday, February 9, 2024, Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detective Nick Sutliff arrested 54-year-old William Francis Amuzzini (W/M, DOB: 02/04/1969) for 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Detective Sutliff was contacted by a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) who alerted him that while conducting an online investigation on the sharing of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), he located an Internet Protocol (IP) address that had downloaded the material. Detective Sutliff was made aware of this information, and the transmission of CSAM was geolocated to Marion County. A subpoena was served to the internet provider, and their records indicated the subscriber was William Amuzzini, residing at 5144 SE 41st Ave in Ocala.

While executing the search warrant, Digital Forensic Examiner Ellen Viselli conducted a thorough forensic analysis of Amuzzini’s hard drive, successfully locating the downloaded files of the CSAM. These files depicted toddlers and prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts with adults that Detective Sutliff described as among the most egregious he has encountered throughout his career.

Amuzzini was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
