February 12th, 2024:

Traffic Violation Leads to Arrest:

On Se Magnolia Rd/Se Hames Rd, Officer Tyler conducted a routine traffic stop on February 12th, 2024. The driver, identified as Kye-Ante Richardson (B/F 9/23/94), was found to have a suspended license and multiple prior offenses for driving with a suspended license. Richardson was promptly arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, closing the case by arrest.

Cash Surrendered at Publix:

Employees at Publix, situated at 10301 S US Hwy 441, made an unusual discovery on the same day. They surrendered a small sum of cash found at the location the week prior, reflecting the store’s commitment to integrity and honesty.

Uttering a Forged Check:

At South State Bank, located at 10990 S US Hwy 441, an unsettling incident occurred. On February 8th, 2024, Harry Trosten (W/M 11/22/94) attempted to cash a forged check, resulting in a case of Uttering a Forged Check. This fraudulent activity was only discovered when a citizen stumbled upon the discarded check, prompting an active investigation.

Simple Battery at

Hands of Mercy Everywhere:

At 6017 Se Robinson Rd, Hands of Mercy Everywhere became the scene of a distressing altercation on February 12th, 2024. A juvenile female committed Simple Battery against another juvenile female, involving physical violence. Despite the severity of the incident, the victim declined to press charges, leading to the closure of the case.

February 13th, 2024:

Burglary of a Dwelling:

On February 6th, 2024, an unknown perpetrator(s) committed Burglary of a Dwelling at 6528 Se 110th Ln. The culprit(s) entered the victim’s screened porch and stole multiple items, leading to an inactive investigation.

Grand Theft of Utility Trailer:

Another incident of Grand Theft occurred at 5826 Se Mimosa Rd on February 13th, 2024. An unknown individual(s) absconded with the victim’s utility trailer, prompting an active investigation into the matter.

License Plate Check Leads to Citation:

On February 13th, 2024, on Us Hwy 441/Se 110th St, Cpl. Harrington conducted a records check on a vehicle’s license plate. It was discovered that the registered owner, Nilda Juarez Lopez (H/F 9/9/94), did not have a driver’s license. Cpl. Harrington issued Juarez Lopez a criminal citation for the offense after confirming her identity through her Mexican passport.

February 14th, 2024:

Theft Incident at Wawa

At 5726 Se Abshier Blvd (Wawa), management reported an individual, later identified as Amber Castellana (W/F 7/18/90), had been stealing from the location. Pfc. Eckert arrived and located Castellana in the parking lot. After obtaining her information, Pfc. Eckert issued a trespass notice. Management later expressed their intent to press charges on the theft, with the case now pending active investigation.
