Accident #1: Sharpes Ferry Road (CR 314)

On the evening of February 16, 2024, around 7:30 p.m., a heartbreaking incident unfolded on Sharpes Ferry Road (CR 314) east of Northeast 68th Court. A vehicle struck a bicyclist, ejecting them from their bicycle, and sadly, the bicyclist succumbed to their injuries. The vehicle responsible fled the scene, leaving behind evidence that led FHP to identify it as a 2010-2015 Chevrolet Equinox SUV with noticeable front-end damage. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, resulting in their unfortunate demise around 8:30 a.m. The vehicle involved, identified as a dark gray 2007-2009 Acura MDX SUV with noticeable damage to the right front section, fled the scene.
