Baseline Booze Cruise: .217 BAC Results in DUI Arrest

A call reporting an erratic driver prompted fast action recentlt from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies quickly located the vehicle in the 3400 block of SE Baseline Road, initiating a traffic stop for speeding.

Upon interaction with the driver, identified as Thomas Knowd Jr., Deputy Young observed multiple indicators of impairment. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Deputy Young proceeded to conduct a DUI investigation. The culmination of this inquiry led to Knowd’s arrest, as he was deemed unfit to operate a vehicle safely.

Knowd was subsequently transported to jail, where he underwent further testing. A breath sample provided by Knowd revealed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .217, significantly exceeding the legal limit.
