Fiery Shoe-nanigans: Summerfield Woman Accused of Setting Ex-Boyfriend’s Shoes Ablaze

In a bizarre twist of post-breakup drama, a scorned lover found himself victim to more than just a broken heart when his ex-girlfriend, Megan Cole, decided to set his new kicks ablaze.

Responding to a call regarding property damage, Marion County Deputies arrived at 17349 SE 95th Street Rd to find a distraught individual lamenting over his charred Nike SB Zoom Janoski shoes. According to the individual, his ex took matters into her own hands, quite literally, by tossing his prized sneakers into a fire.

But the victim wasn’t left empty-handed in the evidence department. Armed with video footage capturing the fiery escapade, the victim presented proof of ownership in the form of receipts that matched the last four digits of his credit card, along with confirmation emails detailing the shoe order and delivery dates—all bearing his name exclusively.

It seems these shoes became collateral damage in the fallout of their relationship, as the victim revealed he had ordered them prior to their breakup, only for them to mistakenly land at his ex’s address during the tumultuous split.

Described as size 12, sporting a sleek black and white colorway, and priced at a cool $94.95, these Nike SBs now serve as a symbol of both lost love and misplaced footwear.
