New Bethel Community Church celebrated Easter in a big way on Saturday, March 30, 2024. It was a perfect day for family fun, and everything was free, from the Annual Easter Egg Hunt with every egg containing a prize or goodie, face painting, a book giveaway, their community picnic with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. Of course, the Easter Bunny was there celebrating with families too.

New Bethel Community Church is non-denominational and located at 8780 SE 157th Place in Summerfield. Approximately 70 children attended their Easter Egg Hunt and Community Picnic that started at 11:00 AM and continued until 1:00 PM. Each child left with plenty of prizes and candy. There were 3 hunts that went on simultaneously: 1-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, and 9-12 year olds. Each age group had a golden egg hidden among the field of pastel eggs; these eggs received a special prize with a large stuffed bunny and other special treats.

New Bethel Community Church also had Marion County Fire Rescue, Station 10, come out to show the children and their families Engine 10.

Gina Seagrave, Community Outreach Leader for New Bethel Community Church, explained that the church has Sunday Service at 10:00 AM. Bible Study is offered for children and adults Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Grief Share is on Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Clogging Fridays at 1:30 to 3:00 PM, beginners start Fridays at 12:30- 1:30 PM, with Kids Clogging from 5:45 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday and Sugar Detox Bootcamp from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesdays.
